Offside rule

There’s much confusion about this rule so let’s get a better understanding..

Basically, it’s all dependent on where an attacking player is at the moment that a ball is played to them. They need to be in line with the last defender, not forward and closer to the goals when the ball is played to them.

Generally the offside rule isn’t enforced in under 12 games but just like learning to do proper throw ins, we try to implement this in both intermediate and senior games so the players can prepare for competitive soccer after Ranford. However, since we don’t have linesman during matches, we have to go with the decision of the match referee.

There are also plenty of videos online that give you visual explanations too.

Please remember though, the referees decision is final and we ask that you always respect that.
